This is a USA-made Fender Jim Root Stratocaster signature model in Flat Black satin finish, built for heavy modern playing with a mahogany body, bolt-on maple neck, dark ebony fretboard with no front position inlays, 22 jumbo frets, active EMG 60/81 humbuckers, black hardware, hardtail string-through-body bridge, locking tuners, single master volume control, and 3-way pickup selector.

The guitar is in Very Good used condition. It is fully functional and presents well overall, but it shows visible cosmetic signs of use. There are surface scratches, scuffs, and handling marks on the satin body finish, pickguard, hardware, back of the body, and around the neck joint/plate area. The satin finish makes marks more visible under direct light. I do not see any cracks, breaks, neck damage, or structural repairs.

The Jim Root Stratocaster is a stripped-down modern Fender signature model: no tone control, no tremolo, no unnecessary switching, just active EMG humbuckers, a hardtail bridge, and a fast compound-radius fretboard. Fender lists the model with a mahogany body, Modern “C” neck profile, compound-radius ebony or maple fingerboard, 22 jumbo frets, EMG 60 neck and EMG 81 bridge pickups, single volume control, 3-way pickup switch, and hardtail string-through-body bridge.

This example has the Flat Black / ebony-board configuration. Dealer specs for this configuration list a satin lacquer body finish, maple neck with satin finish, ebony fretboard, 12"–16" compound radius, 25.5" scale length, 42.8 mm nut width, jumbo frets, black hardware, black Fender locking tuners, and black 6-saddle string-through hardtail bridge.
