Up for sale is a vintage 1974 Vincent Bach Stradivarius Model 37 Bb trumpet (Serial: ML 107361).

​This horn was purchased by a family friend back in 1974, was played for 6 years, then largely sat on a shelf for 20 years. The original owners son played it for a year, and then it was shelved again. I got it in 1999 as a freshman in high school, played it for 4 years, and it's largely been in the case since 2003. I play it every once in a while, but I feel like its wasted on me a lot this point.

• ​Bell: Model 37 (Standard taper, classic projection)

​Condition:

This is a player's horn being sold "As-Is" to allow the next owner to take it to their preferred technician. It has been sitting in storage and will need standard bench work to be concert-ready.

• ​Valves/Slides: The Monel pistons have standard wear but move smoothly. It could probably use a chemical dip since it has been sitting so long. Slides are intact but stiff, and could use a fresh alignment/greasing.
• ​Body: Shows typical signs of use for a 50-year-old horn (minor plating wear at touchpoints, small dings, and evidence of past dent work). No major structural failures or red rot. There is 1 line on the bell where a previous repair wasn't very successful. It definitely needs a good polish.

• ​Case: Includes the original Bach hard case (latches functional, typical exterior shelf wear).
