Up for sale is an exceptionally clean, 1983 Fender American Standard Precision Bass from the Dan Smith Era crafted at the historic Fullerton, California factory. Serial number E322864.
This bass is in excellent cosmetic and structural condition, showing only very minor, light surface scratches. Front to back thin, the fast playing maple neck is straight and feels like butter. The frets are dressed, level and polished and show little wear especially considering the age. It features a gorgeous Brown Sunburst finish paired with a classic maple fretboard. Nut is 45mm wide.
Electronics Upgrade: Otherwise an all original bass, the pickup has been professionally upgraded to a premium Fender Custom Shop '62 Precision Bass split-coil. It sounds absolutely incredible, delivering deep, warm, punchy vintage tones that perfectly complement the instrument.
Includes the original Fender hardshell case. Ships fully insured.
