Selling a very cool late 1970’s Gibson “The Paul” husk, with some parts included. These were gibsons first real les Paul inspired student guitars, predating the studio line by a few years. Solid body, made of walnut with a no frills, unbound ebony fretboard with dot inlays and a silkscreened “Gibson” logo. This one has its original tuners, truss rod cover, pots (though wiring has been redone). Pickguard and knobs are probably original as well but the guitar has been routed for a 3rd middle humbucker. There are also a couple of plugged holes in the control cavity where a couple mini toggle switches were added. The guitar shows plenty of signs of use, but no breaks or crack repairs. The neck remains straight with solid frets and played easily when strung up. These are really nice guitars for the money and this one is priced low and sold as is for parts or repair. add some humbuckers, a bridge, and a tailpiece and you’re into a vintage gibson Les Paul for less than a new Lp Studio.
Will ship in a gig bag.
