Pork Pie USA Custom 6x12 Snare Drum - Purple Satin Finish - 2003
Beautiful early-production Pork Pie USA Custom 6x12 snare drum, built on October 1, 2003 and featuring the original Pork Pie brass “Made by an American” badge.
Finished in a striking transparent purple satin lacquer that showcases the wood grain beneath, this drum represents the handcrafted California-era Pork Pie instruments that helped establish the company’s reputation among drummers looking for boutique quality and distinctive character.
The shell interior features a handwritten build date (10-1-03), serial number (#11354), and builder signature. As was common with early Pork Pie production, the interior markings are handwritten rather than stamped.
The compact 6x12 size delivers excellent articulation, sensitivity, and crack while still retaining enough body to serve as either a primary snare or a versatile side snare. The drum is fitted with its original Pork Pie hardware, including the classic Pork Pie lugs, triple-flanged hoops, and original throw-off.
