Epiphone Les Paul Standard Limited Edition 1997 - Transparent Blue

Here's a pretty blue Epiphone Les Paul Standard, made at the Korean Unsung plant in 1997. It's a Limited Edition model, from a run of Les Pauls in transparent colors that Epiphone put out around this time. The colors included red, green, amber yellow, and sapphire blue. It's equipped with two alnico coil humbuckers, and delivers the kind of attack and sustain that these old Korean Standards are known for. At 8.8 pounds it's got the necessary heft to feel like a real LP Standard. It is in very nice condition, with a few scuffs and bumps here and there, but a very neat look overall. The rosewood fretboard is clean, and has been rubbed with bore oil prior to a new set of D'Addario NYXL 10-46 strings being installed. It has a new Switchcraft pickup selector switch. New black reflector knobs look great with the transparent sapphire finish. It looks great with or without the pickguard, as you can see from the photos. It plays well, and intonates correctly all the way up the neck, but it needs a little TLC action-wise. The strings are currently a bit buzzy on the fretboard, due to the previous owner having the nut slots cut deep for the heavy strings he used. So for buzz-free action you'll want to shim the nut a little higher, or optimally, cut a new nut of your preferred material.

It comes with a SKB hardshell LP case in excellent condition (a few scuffs, but totally clean interior.) Please allow for shadows and reflections in the photos. If you have questions or need detail photos just let me know.
