Quite collector‘s piece right here! A Hinger True Tone Concert Snare built by Fred Hinger in the USA in 1977.

Overall this drum is In immaculate condition with some slight pitting on the hoops and lugs but very minimal. There are some areas on the throw-off where the chrome has come off. Hard to believe this drum is 50 years old!!

As you can see I have included original correspondence between the original owner and Fred Hinger which does include handwritten notes as well. There is also a handwritten note from the original owner to my drum teacher, Tim, who has owned this since the 80s. You also see the original receipt!

The drum will ship with all correspondence, the original heads as shown and the case is included in the sales.

The drum has been stored in this case in a home studio in a completely smoke-free environment and played on occasion in the US Army band where my teacher retired from about 12 years ago.

Definitely a unique and rare piece of US drum making history!
