Yamaha NU1XA AvantGrand Hybrid Piano. Excellent condition, Polished Ebony

A new NU1XA costs £5,189 and Yamaha never discount it. It’s an Agency product, so the price is the price everywhere in the UK. This one is the same current model, a couple of years old, and in excellent condition throughout.

The NU1XA isn’t a digital piano pretending to be acoustic. It has a real wooden upright action bolted into a digital body, so the keys move and rebound exactly like the real thing. Yamaha’s Articulation Sensor System reads every key and hammer through contactless magnetic sensors, which is why fast repeated notes and delicate releases actually land. The sound engine carries the Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial grands, so you can switch between a bright concert tone and a warmer Viennese one depending on what you’re playing.

It’s been a much-loved practice instrument in a non-smoking home. Our 15 year old sons practice piece. Small tiny swirl marks on top which are easily polished out.

Why I’m selling: we’ve been gifted an acoustic upright, so this needs a new home rather than two pianos in one room.
