This one is truly a time capsule. Made in 2000. Taken care of with extreme care by previous owners with some tasteful upgrades too: Gold Waverly high ratio tuners, Bob Colosi bridge pins and saddle, and John Greven pickguard. Only 1582 of these Martin 000-28VS were made between 1999 and 2019.

The Sitka is full of lovely silking and the East Indian Rosewood is dark and chocolately, with beautiful straight grains.

Comes with original hardshell case and original paperwork (care brochure, warranty sheet) and case key.

A gold guitar strap button has been added and the endpin has been drilled out for a pickup. No electronics are currently installed. There is a gold Larrivée/Taylor endpin to match the other gold aesthetics. However if you prefer one closer to the original grained ivoroid, I suggest Norcross Guitar Saddles who has taken up the business of Bob Colosi with his blessing and support.

Condition: for 26 years old there is barely any visible play on it. There is a very small nick in the top of the headstock. There are some slight buffed spots on top, left lower bout (not a scratch). There is a slight buffed line across right upper bout side where it rests on your leg (not a scratch). There are three tiny indents on the top, in front of the bridge under the G-B-E strings.

In spite of these I take this to be excellent but will still list it as Very Good.
