Rare Gold Plating, with rare “Portrait” engraving on the bell. Out of the many hundreds or thousands of saxophones Conn produced in the 1920’s (Serial #207674,) a relative few were for one, Gold Plated, and, two, as performed by Conn USA’s few “Master Engravers” given an elaborate hand rendered art deco engraving on the bell. In this case it is a rare “Portrait” engraving, featuring, in the center, the young “Cherub” standing in the field with a fence and grove of trees in the background. All we can say is Wow! This is a beautiful work of
COMPLETELY AND NEWLY REPADDED (WITH FLAT, METAL CONN RESONATORS WITH THE RIVOT IN THE MIDDLE) AND POLISHED BY A MASTER REPAIRMAN. ALL NEW PADS, FELTS AND CORKS. This sax PLAYS VERY WELL RIGHT NOW. No further work needs to be done on this saxophone, and it will give the player much, much playing time with no need of repair. No dents or dings. Unique Conn "Tuneable" neck is in excellent shape. No repair done or needed on the neck. ROLLED TONE HOLES. Original ivory (they appear to be) rollers... No high F# key. Comes in the original Conn hard case. Comes with Conn “Tuneable” neck (tuneable aspect works!), Conn "nail file" G# key, working G to G# trill key, D to D# trill key works. These aspects of the Vintage Conn saxophone have ALL BEEN REGULATED SO THAT ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE SAXOPHONE, THEY AND EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS GREAT! Comes in original case in good working condition (latches work), with student mouthpiece, reed, strap, and cork grease.
Final adjustments on this sax were made by Thomas at Master Artisan Pro woodwinds.
