1994 USA Made in Nashville Gibson Les Paul Studio in Wine Red with translucent maple cap. Very sexy beast of a Studio Paul. Pictures don't do it justice, I'm using the store's photos except for the last one of it in the case, which is mine. Both guitar and case are in great shape 32 years later. I had been looking for a LP that wouldn't require a bank loan and this popped up. A friend who has played Gibsons for years recommended early 90s models specifically, so I went for it. Wouldn't you know it, two days after I purchased, a 2011 goldtop LP Traditional showed up, and I have been wanting a goldtop for well over 40 years. So I got it, and am quite happy, but now I have to toss this one back into the pond otherwise I would have kept it. I've only had it like less than a month, it still has the strings from the store it was purchased from. It's quite clean, some really minor blemishes that you would have to look closely to see. 490 and 498 humbuckers, if I'm not mistaken. Guitar has a great tone, pickups are strong and rich sounding and give you a wide range of volume as a result, from soft and clean to driving a fuzz or o/d to critical mass. This guitar is a performer for sure. Has a little bit of weight to be honest, but nothing like my friend's '79 LP Custom, which is a boat anchor. Overall, a great addition to someone's arsenal.
