Up for sale is a minty C.G. Conn New Wonder II C-Melody Saxophone. The serial number is 173354 that puts the year of manufacturing 1926. The satin silver plate is nearly perfect with little scratch. There are no signs of past repairs. No dents and no dings. The pads are not new but they seal well. The horn plays from the bottom to the top with the characteristic somewhat muffled tone. C-Melody saxophones were highly popular from 1910's to 1920's as a household musical instrument. The interest, however, plummeted over the Great Depression with the rise of radio music broadcast. As such, this horn is one of the rare late C-Melody saxophones ever produced. C-Melody saxophones were often not well maintained and are found in rough shape. This particular horn is in an incredible original shape with little sign of actual use. This should make a valuable piece in your collection. The straight neck is also in a perfect condition with the microtuner smoothly working. The original case is also preserving the original beauty in and out. This C-Melody comes with an original Conn C-Melody mouthpiece also in great condition.
