This is a complete set of the iconic Neumann Gefell CMV563 microphone from 1950s. This microphone have the serial number 4772. I also have for sale the serial numbers 4769 and 4770 in another ad.
This set is in great shape and have recently been serviced at The Mic Shop in Nashville.
This package comes with capsules M55k (Omni), M7 (Cardioid), M8 (Figure of 8). While the M55k and M7 work and sound great, the M8 sounds thin and needs to be reskinned, which will cost you about $300 if you send it to Thiersh Labs in Germany. They come with all adapters and fittings. Everything lightly used.
This microphone is powered by a modern N563 Schaal power supply made in Germany. These power supplies are much better than the originals, with regulated power and dual voltage operation. The cable is made with high quality Sommer (Germany) wiring.
The original boxes are also included. Everything in excellent shape. A waterproof case keeps all parts safely together. The original mic clip is included as well as a generic shock mount, which holds the mic well. The original clip has a partially broken plastic piece, which can make it a little more difficult to tighten the clip.
This microphone set sounds great and work perfectly fine. All components have been fully tested in professional studio.
