This 2017 Holo D-hole guitar is built with the great craftsmanship that Bob Holo has become known for. The quality of the fit and finish is stunning and there was clearly fine attention paid to the fine tuning of this guitars sound. The sound hole is a bit smaller than the D-hole of a typical Selmer guitar which reduces any tendency to boominess and gives this guitar increased clarity, making it great for either rhythm or lead playing. It also has all of the volume one expects from this style of guitar. The playability is great with wonderful action.
The guitar is in all original condition. The spruce top has one of the most beautiful pliages that I've personally seen. The back and sides are made of beautifully grained Indian rosewood. The neck is walnut and the fretboard is ebony. The guitar is in excellent condition with a small nick in the top finish of the treble side lower bout and a shallow finish scratch on the bass side of the sound hole. The frets show very little wear.
