Paiste Vault Release 0115: Formula 602 Blue Label 20" Heavy FlatRide Flat Ride COLLECTOR GRADE HOLY GRAIL GEM!

Many years back, Mother Paiste did a rare release of New Old Stock cymbals from her vault. I bought a small collection of these gems for myself. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. These were basically New Old Stock examples that they were keeping for reference, for endorsers, or whatever. They shipped in numbered plastic bags. Vault Release 0115 is the Paiste Formula 602 20" Heavy FlatRide (Flat RIde) shown in the photos. Serial number dates this ride cymbal to 1984.

Weighs 2638 g on my scale.

Overall condition is Excellent.

The edge is butter smooth. Lays flat. Center hole is perfect. No funny business or issues.

To be ultra critical, I did see a tiny oxidation area on the top near the edge and fingerprints on the bottom (see last several photos). There are also some tiny thinner spots or rubs in the clear coat on the bottom that can be detected at certain angles (see last several photos).

While this cymbal was never played by me (kept in the bag for its life under my care), you can see in certain lighting angles some stick marks from where the sound was examined over the decades. See photos.
