1915 Fairbanks Vega style K pot with short scale neck

A 1915 Fairbanks Vega style K pot with converted 5 string short scale Vega neck. The pot is originally from a Fairbanks Vega "melody" banjo with 4 strings (you can see the original dowel stick in the pictures). the new 5 string short scale neck was modified from a modern unfinished neck . Great sounding little banjo with 23 inch scale length, which can be set up for playing in A with heavier strings or C with lighter strings. Currently set up for claw hammer with "gut" strings and a higher bridge,but I have included steel strings and a lower bridge for Bluegrass playing. comes with a new padded gig bag.
