Over 100 years old, this American made parlour guitar is a little beauty. Possibly from Chicago.
Original tuners, frets are original, board is ebony, neck reset and set up done. The neck has been converted to bolt on somewhere in its life.
Action is low, easy to play. There is a gap near the heal, completely cosmetic (the heal cap is short). The rosette is multi layered veneer wood. Back and side’s Brazilian rosewood, top adi spruce.
There’s a few crack repairs, not perfect but full of character and it’s lasted this long… some binding is missing in some places, quoted around $500 to fix up.
Ladder braced but has a rich, intimate sound with amble projection, full of character. Strung with silk and steel strings. Great recording guitar, or for fingerpicking in quiet rooms.
Can send full specs and more pictures via messenger. Comes with a non - standard case.
Pickup in Reservoir, open to reasonable offers - and to interested folks who’d like to try it.
