Instead of a conventional tube preamp creating compression and distortion in the dirt channel, we installed the Vinny 1 Watt circuit (complete with output transformer and dummy load) into the dirt channel for real power tube distortion in the preamp. I can achieve real power tube grind at any volume with zero compromise, complete with a killer clean channel and tube driven pedal level FX loop.

8 ohms 30 watt nominal power handling. We’ve used one with 100 watt amplifiers with no failure. But once we used one with the 880W Babylon and that took it out pretty quick so YMMV.
