Harley Benton TE-20HH SkunkWerx Tuxedo Special Custom 2025 - Satin Black

Whenever we get a guitar shipped to us with an issue, we try our best to turn it into something very special. That's the case with the "Tuxedo Special" you see before you.

Tux got delivered with some paint flaking off the back of the neck. Rather than send it all the way back overseas, we went ahead and sanded the paint right off the back of the neck, creating a cool "stinger" near the headstock. The result is a super smooth, super fast neck, unlike any other TE-20HH on the planet. There is a little mark just above it we had to fix, you can see it in the pics, but nothing that stands out.

Then we rewired it with quality components from CTS and Switchcraft, all vintage cloth wiring and a copper shielded cavity to ensure it stays quiet.

Because we loaded it with crankin' white DRAGONFIRE CRUSADER PICKUPS! Boom! This thing screams Slipknot! Then covered all that up with a super cool silver mirrored pickguard! The plastic is still on it, so you get to PEEL!

Every guitar gets our comprehensive FretWerx complete fret prep and mini setup, including, but not limited to:

- Seat neck in pocket for bolt neck guitars

- Check neck relief and adjust truss rod to factory specs or customer request

- File sharp fret ends

- Level, crown and polish frets, "ball" round fret ends

- Round over fretboard edge, smooth excessive fretboard grain

- Multi-Step FretWerx fret polishing including five Stewmac eraser grades and two stage machine polishing

- Machine polish fretboard on request (recommended)

- Treat fretboard using MusicNomad products

- Replace strings with gauge choice of Ernie Ball Slinkys

- Lubricate all string contact points using Big Bends Nut Sauce

- SRV string "pinch" set

- Check string height at first fret and 12th fret, adjust neck relief accordingly

SkunkWerx Guitars USA always recommends a full set up by a qualified technician in your city or town, as temperature and humidity can affect playability during shipping. We recommend waiting 24-48 MINIMUM hours (ten days makes a huge difference), after receiving your guitar BEFORE performing any setup to allow the guitar to acclimate to your local humidity and temperature. This often alleviates issues without the need for additional setup, or having to retunr the guitar to our specs now that it has accimated properly. Guitars may show some signs of very light play wear due to handling during our processes, some small tooling marks may be present, and condition is reported as accurately as possible.

Most instruments are VIDEO RECORDED during both FretWerx process and packing to ensure you have accurate images in case of damage during shipping, or dispute. Returns are allowed up to three days after sale. Both initial and return shipping is at the BUYER'S expense, so please review all photos carefully, and ask questions before you buy. We strive to provide as accurate information and descriptions as possible, nobody like surprises!

Requests for "partial" refunds accompanied by threats to destroy our reputation will be ignored and/or reported, as this has become the Reverb norm.
