For sale is a 1996 Les Paul Standard in black.  This is a great player’s guitar, and if you’ve played some from this era you know how awesome they are.  

-Weighs 9.3 pounds on my home scale. -60’s profile neck.

-Gibson ‘57 Classic Plus bridge pickup (measures 8.72 ohms)

-Fralin Pure PAF neck pickup (6.82k ohms)

-500k Emerson pots. 

-PIO bumblebee caps

-Has been re-fretted with Jumbo frets- new nut installed (I think).  

This guitar has insanely fast low action and a superb re-fret job that I much prefer over Gibson’s typical flat-topped frets from this period.  A previous owner had it re-fretted so I’m not sure who did it but they did an unbelievable job.  

The guitar has dings, scratches, swirls, etc, and is a player grade guitar.  Back of the back has a few places where the wood shines through, but you can’t feel those areas as the neck is super smooth.  The back shows some nitro checking that looks really cool if you can catch it in the light.  The hardware looks nice and aged.  I’ve was told by the e previous owner that  the bridge is a Grover, but I haven’t verified that.  

The original cream pickup rings were in shambles when I got this guitar so I took all of the cream hardware off and replaced it with black (pickup rings, poker chip- haven’t replaced the pick guard though). I took the black poker chip off too just for the look. I have all the original cream parts still.  Comes in the 90’s brown Gibson hard case with pink interior and dust shield thing.
