Selling my 2023 Fender USA Geddy Lee Jazz Bass in Black.
Made in the USA, this Geddy Lee signature model combines features from several of Geddy’s favorite Jazz Basses, including his original ’72 Jazz Bass and Custom Shop signature models. It has an alder body, maple neck and fingerboard, pearloid block inlays, black binding, custom-voiced American Vintage ’70s Geddy Lee single-coil pickups, a Custom Thick “C” neck with a hand-rubbed oil finish, and the Geddy Lee High Mass bridge.
This bass replaced one that was stolen on tour with the Band Thursday in 2024, and it has been a real working instrument since then. It was used on the Rival Schools / Thursday tour in 2024, Thursday’s 20 Years of Tears US tour in summer 2024, the Silverstein tours in 2025, and the My Chemical Romance New Jersey stadium show in summer 2025. It is also featured on the recording of Thursday’s song “White Bikes.”
Plays amazing and sounds excellent. Big, clear Jazz Bass tone with strong low end, punchy mids, and classic growl. The neck feels fast with a satin finish and broken-in, and the high-mass bridge keeps everything solid. Great for studio work, live use, and anyone who wants a serious USA Jazz Bass with real road and recording history.
Reason for selling: I built a custom bass that has become my main instrument, so I’m moving this one along.
Cosmetically it shows normal signs of use from touring and studio work, including some small marks from playing, but nothing that affects function or playability. See photos.
