Hill Guitar Company Performance SP/RW 640mm (2017)

World renowned luthier Kenny Hill has been building guitars for nearly 50 years. His offerings leave no compromises, with fantastic selection of wood, and incredible attention to detail.
This example of a "Performance" model is dated to 2017. It is constructed with a Spruce top, complete with lattice bracing and half split kerfing in its interior. The sound is well balanced, it has a substantial volume. Double hole Ebony bridge with bone top. The top measures 14.5" lower bout with a 3.5" body depth - the sides with ported on both sides of the neck joint.
The neck is constructed out of a Spanish Cedar profile with a thick ebony fingerboard (with a side dot at the 7th fret) - joining the body at the 12th. The neck is designed with a slightly shorter 640mm scale length - convenient for players looking to play compositions requiring large stretches, or just for general comfort. The neck is nice and straight playing easily with action measuring about 3mm at the 12th fret, the saddle showing about 2.5mm above the slot. Equipped with a truss rod, it takes on modern conventions.
