The Gibson DSR model was actually produced in Canada - during a very short venture lasting only one year from 2008-2009. These guitars are well made, with all solid construction - with a nice spruce top, and rosewood back and sides. Internally it is X braced, with a thin presumably rosewood bridge plate. Sound wise, it has a more modern tone, with bright overtones and a nice depth - still with a Gibson flavored midrange.
The neck is bolted in from the inside - making any future neck reset a bit easier. The neck appears to be made of mahogany, with a fully bound ebony fingerboard with abalone dot inlay. The neck is straight, albeit with the truss rod fairly maxed. That said, the action measures a typical, light 5/64" in height at the twelfth fret, the saddle appearing untouched. It has a 1 23/32" nut width and 25.4" scale length. The frets are in good clean condition showing only light use from the original owner.
This guitar is in very good condition with only typical light surface wear present.
Includes newer hardshell case.
