This is the 8-string version of Gold Tone’s popular Paul Beard Signature squareneck model, designed to give traditional dobro/resonator players an expanded range for bigger chords, richer voicings, and more steel-guitar-style melodic options. It is especially useful for bluegrass, country, Western swing, Hawaiian, roots music, and anyone wanting more harmonic width than a standard 6-string squareneck.

The PBS-8 features a mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, 25” scale length, cream binding, sealed tuners, and a genuine Beard USA cone and spider assembly — a major part of why these instruments have such strong projection, clarity, and sustain. Gold Tone describes the PBS-8 as using the Paul Beard “open” soundwell design with Beard cone/spider hardware, giving it a loud, balanced, professional resonator voice.  

Condition is excellent overall. Structurally solid and playing well, with no major issues. There may be light signs of normal handling, but nothing ugly, distracting, or substantial. It presents beautifully and is ready for stage, studio, or serious home use.

Includes the hardshell case.
