Fender Player II Telecaster- The guitar has only been lightly played. Upgraded with a Seymour Duncan STL-3T Quarter Pound Tapped bridge pickup and a phase switch, making it a very versatile instrument that can do the classic telecaster thing, but also gives you access beefier p90-like humbucker tone for more aggressive music, as well those funky position strat position 2/4 type of sounds when using both pickups out of phase.
The Quarter Pound, Seymour Duncan’s highest-output Tele single coil, is thick, loud, and almost P90-like in its growl. The “tapped” version has a third wire soldered mid-wind at the factory, and a toggle switch routes your signal to that wire instead of the full coil. With the switch up you get the pickups full output sound, flip it down and you drop into a snappy, lower-output tone that’ll take you right to ’50s Tele territory.
