Trader Bobs Music LLC, offers a rare model, LM (Large Medium Bore) Tenor Trombone. As near as I can decipher, in the FE Olds & Son Surviving Brass List online, the serial number on the bell section "LM1118", puts it in 1918 production. "LM on bell, FE Olds; Patent April 2, 1912", on the bell. 6-7/8" diameter gold washed bell. Made in Los Angeles CA. The engraving on the bell is nice and crisp. I have not polished this horn, is in "as received" condition. The slide assembly has the serial number "M3190" inscribed in three different locations. The "T.I.S."system, tuning slide within the slide, works great, is missing the "Stop Nut", on the adjustment screw. The slide , freshly oiled, works great, smooth. The mouthpiece is original to this horn, as I got it. unmarked. There are very few minor dents on this horn, study the pictures as they are part of the description. The case is the original, and is in great condition. Green corduroy, interior. All the snaps, latches, and hinges work as they should. There seems to be a spot for a cleaning rod, which is missing. I do not see a provision for a mouthpiece holding device inside the case. The tolex covering is not perfect, a few knicks, and dings, but overall very good for it's age. Thanks for looking.
