Very (VERY) reluctantly selling due to needing to downgrade my home recording set-up (curse you redundancy!). I bought this is my end of line, dream audio interface, and that's exactly what it has been. Purchasing it felt like a bit of a gamble because there wasn't a whole lot of decent reviews online, and the few that I could find seemed to have mixed feelings, so I'll explain why I purchased it and why it might be the ideal interface for you:

I record mostly audio, and like to layer my recordings a lot. When you record audio through this and begin to stack takes, you really begin to hear why this is priced the way it is. I owned an SSL2 before this, and was used to having to a LOT of EQing and fixing to make my recordings sound passable. Recording with the Neve isn't like that whatsoever. The first test recording I did I recorded 14-15 layers of various acoustic instruments, and to my absolute shock, it sounded nearly finished without even applying any inserts. The high end has clarity but never harsh, the mids are clear but don't honk, and the low end is full and rich without that typical boominess I've gotten from every other interface I've ever used.

I aren't really sure why so many reviewers seemed to have gripes with this interface, I've never had any issues with it whatsoever and it runs a hell of a lot smoother than the trainwreck that was trying to use/set-up the UA Apollo Twin, which I ended up returning. If you're looking for a beautiful sounding yet also simple interface that doesn't require additional software, this is pretty much as good as it gets. You plug it in, set your level, and it sounds amazing.

I have not really used it extensively in the 7-8 months I've owned it as I'm just a hobbyist musician, so it's in nearly perfect condition and has had a VERY easy life here. It is the first revision of the 88M, so bear in mind before you purchase if you require the loopback and other features added in the second revision, this one doesn't feature them, hence the lower pricing.
