Bacchus Japan Tune-Up WL-524 H.J. FREAKS Signature - 24-Fret Jazz Bass - 5-String - Active / Passive - Natural Green

A very high quality 24-fret, 5-string Jazz Bass from Bacchus which is very rarely seen in America.

H.J Freaks is a Youtuber and session player well known for his cosplay antics and slap skills, and this bass accommodates that style perfectly, with 5-Strings, Active electronics and a classic Jazz Bass tone, but with the addition of 24 frets and a kill switch which is surprisingly useful in a gig or session setting.

The WL-524 is part of the Japan Tune-Up series, and basically, when these are ordered new, Bacchus Luthiers in Japan will keep the bass for a week to apply a full professional grade setup and fret leveling procedure to ensure absolute maximum playability, and this bass certainly provides that.

Further specs include an Alder Body with a natural open pore finish, and a beautiful roasted maple neck with a natural sanded finish for maximum speed. The controls meanwhile consist of Volume, Balance, 3-Band EQ and a Master Tone which functions in active or passive, making this bass very versatile.

The overall condition of this one is very good, it has a few bumps, particularly at the very end of the head stock, but it is overall very clean and a beautiful bass.

Playability-wise it is extremely good, the action gets very low and is currently around 2.0mm. The neck is straight and all hardware including the truss rod, which has essentially not been touched, functions perfectly, and It weighs in at a comfortable 9.1Ib.

It includes the original Bacchus soft case, along with a certificate of authenticity :)
