2023 Höfner 500/2 Club Bass – German-made 1965 Reissue. Fully hollow 30” short-scale with staple pickups, classic Höfner control panel, and gorgeous nitrocellulose sunburst finish with flame maple neck and back. Includes the original Höfner hard case and complete matching case candy (certificate, tags, and literature).
Freshly strung with Rotosound black nylon tapewounds — the exact same setup Paul McCartney used during the Get Back sessions — and professionally set up by Gary Brawer (Metallica, Steve Vai, Neal Schon, Bob Weir, et al). Plays effortlessly up the neck with a smooth, comfortable action.
The same legendary Höfner family made famous by Paul McCartney. This Club model has also been played by John Stirratt (Wilco), Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads/Tom Tom Club), Kevin Parker (Tame Impala), Tom Hamilton (Aerosmith), and others.
Excellent condition — only light cosmetic wear, no repairs, no mods, all original parts and paperwork. I am the original owner.
