The Janitor is a “cleanup” pedal designed in collaboration with MaCo Guitars (https://reverb.com/shop/macoguitars) to move a copy of your guitar’s volume control circuit to your pedalboard so you can use a preset volume rollback to under-drive your distortion circuits. It works well with amps, overdrives, distortions, and fuzzes. Setting your distortion circuit high and using The Janitor to clean up is the converse of setting your circuits low and using an active boost to drive them harder.

6 Treble-bleed options (2 + off + TB has 3 other settings inside) Let you preserve the high-end if you want, and adapt to your guitars and signal chain as necessary on the fly.

The Janitor is a completely passive circuit with true bypass switching. 9V power is required only to run the LED, but the rest of the pedal will work fine without it. This can be useful if you want The Janitor near where you’re playing, but off and in front of the pedalboard.
