After making and saving hundreds of patches and using it on countless recordings, it is with a heavy heart that I am listing my Poly Evolver Keyboard for sale.

Only ever been kept in the studio and in practically perfect condition as it was serviced / checked over by Sequential all the way in California somewhat recently. All the knobs were spec’d out with solid & sturdy potentiometers, keyboard feels amazing, everything works as it should (surprising from a 21 year old synth!). The LFO lights that shine out from the back of the synth have been purposely disabled as they are very bright and can light up a room.

Truly a one of a kind instrument. It can go from somber analog to freaky and harsh digital in a split second - the digital waveforms from the Prophet VS and the stereo filters / signal flow make this such a unique synth to use - very much reminiscent of the more modern UDO synthesisers, yet somehow with more depth and flexibility. Shout out to the 3 stereo delay lines and tuned feedback too! Dave Smith designed this instrument all by himself - it was all him!

I recommend watching Jameson Nathan Jones’ videos on the subject of the Poly Evolver - he really goes into depth about the quirks and strengths of this synth and how it can be used to its full extent (with the sequencer and 4 oscillators + FM).

I also recommend listening to Panu M Savolainen’s Poly Evolver Keyboard demo and Jexus’ Mono Evolver demo on YouTube to get an idea of the wide range of amazing sounds it can produce.

I am needing to downsize a bit, and the sheer amount of options with only 4 voices on the Evolver does make it a lil’ more intimidating to make patches for versus my other synths, hence the sale.
