For sale is a 1955 HN White King Super 20 Master cornet. 338xxx serial number.
This is a beautiful looking and playing cornet, perfect for trad jazz or sitting in a concert band. Features a 4.625 inch bell and a .458 bore. It has a nice clear sound And great intonation.
Valves and slides are in excellent shape with great compression. Everything is smooth. The micro tuner on the main tuning slide screws in and out as it should. There are some scattered small dings on the horn, but nothing that affects the playability.
This is from the period where HN White King used a slightly different (larger) cornet mouthpiece taper, so a standard Bach cornet mouthpiece may wobble a little. Yamaha and Curry mouthpieces seat just fine, I only have a few cornet mouthpieces to test.
Recently professionally cleaned with new felts and corks.
No case or mouthpiece.
