Here we have a Wampler Tweed '57 overdrive pedal. In a nutshell it does the Fender tweed thing. In my opinion it sounds fantastic….. anyone really surprised by that? This is from the old hand-wired days before they went the way of surface mounted like everyone else. Personally, doesn’t really matter to me either way, but in case it matters to you. The more you know.
Wampler feels like the pedal builders builder. Guy just knows his stuff and makes awesome pedals. I’ve always said, it’s the generic enclosure and lack of marketing that hold them back.
I have a Makes Sounds Loudly custom 3:1 with a Bassman and no pedal is taking the place of that. At least until it dies haha. So lucky you!!! No box.
