This 1962 Framus Hollywood is in very good condition. This guitar shows signs of age and play wear throughout including some finish checking, a few small dings on and around the body, a small chip in the neck heel and some old adhesive on the peghead face (possibly from a logo or sticker that was removed). This guitar has a nice medium chunky rounded “D” shaped neck with a 1 /11 16” nut width. The frets on this guitar are in very good shape, have lots of life left and don’t show any major dents or divots. This guitar is set up with an old set of flatwound strings and it plays well up and down the fingerboard. The truss rod is fully functional. This guitar could probably play a bit easier with a lighter gauge set of roundwound strings, but we like it with the flats! The electronics are all original, have been cleaned and are fully operational. Both of the single coil pickups sounds fantastic and are super clear and articulate with plenty of power. This guitar would be a perfect studio tool and it excels for spy movie sounds, creepy reverb drenched soundscapes, tic tac surf, quirky hillbilly rhythms, fuzzy garage rock and hill country blues - A pretty inspirational guitar with a killer looking finish built in the heart of Bavaria! This guitar is super lightweight at 5lb even and is housed in a gig bag. We will ship this instrument out promptly and securely from our little shop here in Tennessee to your front door!
