Headstrong Lil' King S 1x12 Combo - Blonde/Oxblood - Factory Mids Mod

Headstrong Lil' King S in blonde tolex with oxblood grill cloth, built in 2008. All tube, 25 watts. This particular amp was custom-ordered with a "Mids" knob installed by Wayne Jones himself, located on the back of the amp and operated with a white chicken-head knob. This allows you to dial out that Fender Blackface mid-scoop and really push those mids (or dial them even further back), which makes this amp ever more versatile, achieving anything from full scooped mids to classic Princeton tones to more mid-forward tweed Deluxe and Vibrolux sounds.

Aesthetic condition is "very good", with some small rips in the tolex and some discoloration, especially on the top (which can happen with UV light exposure on blonde tolex over time). Operationally, the amp is in excellent condition and sounds absolutely killer; no issues whatsoever.

Speaker is an Eminence Alessandro GA-SC64 (which usually come stock with these amps), though this particular speaker was purchased brand new and installed this year. Power tubes are NOS Mesa 6L6's, and the rectifier tube is a new JJ. Original footswitch is included.

Incredible-sounding amp that takes pedals extremely well, and the spring reverb is to die for. Can even take other power tubes (EL34, 6V6, KT66) with a re-bias. A perfect little amp for gigging and recording. Has lived most of its life in my climate-controlled, smoke-free studio, and has been used sparingly.
