Up for sale is a vintage Gibson F-12 mandolin, a classic American instrument with great vintage character and strong collector appeal. This one is sold as a project instrument and is best suited for an experienced player, luthier, or collector who understands vintage repair work.
The mandolin has around 7 cracks and the binding is disintegrating, so it will need restoration before it’s in playing condition. Despite the condition issues, it still has the look and feel of an original vintage Gibson and could be a worthwhile restoration for the right person.
