2025 Musicman Short Scale Stingray Highly Modified Elec & Hardware

Here is a highly modified 2025 short scale Ernie Ball Musicman short scale bass with the "Showtime" finish. The original bass had all black hardware and was changed to chrome with the exception of the neckplate which has the serial number. These short scale basses only had passive electronics. I upgraded the preamp to a John East MMSR 3 band / 3 knob preamp with: Volume -- Bass/Treble Stack (Late 70's MM Style) w/ Bright Push Pull -- Mid/Mid Frequency Sweep Stack. A battery cavity was required for the preamp and a factory Musicman battery box was installed. This gives it the 70's tone everyone is after. The showtime finish I felt was getting hidden from the black pickguard, so I put a clear pickguard on. The fret markers have abalone decals over the original markers, which I thought was a nice touch. The bass shows very minor wear and plays like a dream with the tone VERY similar to the original Musicman Stingray.

I have over $3250 invested to get this bass where it is, (not including labor for routing the battery cavity & installing preamp) so the asking price for this 1 of a kind instrument I think is very fair
