or sale is a fantastic 1968 Fender Precision Bass, made in the USA during one of Fender’s great transitional late-’60s periods.
This is a wonderful vintage Precision Bass with a strong old Fender feel, great resonance and classic P-Bass authority. It is an outstanding example — comfortable, inspiring and full of real vintage character.
The bass is fitted with lollipop tuners, a very cool and period-correct feature seen on some late-’60s transitional Fender basses. They give the instrument a distinctive and highly desirable vintage look.
There is a sticker near the bridge. It may possibly be removable, but I have chosen not to touch it or attempt removal, as I prefer to leave the instrument exactly as it is.
The bass sounds and feels exactly like a great vintage Precision should: warm, punchy, direct and powerful, with a strong fundamental, excellent dynamics and that unmistakable old Fender response.
