Green Ash Tele style, chambered guitar body.

Chambered body, (to lessen the overall weight).
¼” thick Ash top.

Standard 2 pickup Tele appointments.
                1” deep pickup routs
                1 ½” deep control cavity rout
                7/8” plug in rout
                5/8” deep by 56MM neck pocket
                5/16” string through ferrules

1 13/16” thick body

String through holes and bridge anchor points styled for a 4 screw ashtray style bridge.

All electrical connection passages are provided as well as holes for the strap anchors.  Pickguard screw points are NOT provided.   

Tung Oil finish. Three costs and a buff/polish.

The back story on this body:

I got the wood for this body from a restaurant liquidator who was selling furnishings, chairs,       equipment and table tops taken from downtown Minneapolis restaurants who for one reason or            another had taken steps to get rid of their old furnishings.  I sectioned the table top into usable pieces and ran everything through my planer to achieve the correct thickness for use as a Tele blank. Because these sections were still too heavy for use as a typical guitar body, I decided to chamber this one to knock off a pound or so in overall weight. 

The result of all this looks very nice in my admittedly biased opinion, and I look forward to hearing what some of you think.  Even if you don’t save this posting, I would appreciate a comment from you as to what you think.  I will keep your critiques in mind as I start the next body made from this Minneapolis restaurant table top Ash.
