Gibson ES-175T
The mid-1970s Gibson ES-175T is a rare thin-body version of Gibson’s classic hollowbody jazz guitar, offering the familiar ES-175 look and warm, articulate tone in a more compact, comfortable design. Built during the short 1976–1979 production run, elegant vintage appointments, and a lively, responsive feel that makes it a distinctive player’s instrument. This guitar was stamped "Second" on the back of the headstock from the Gibson factory originally. This was generally due to Cosmetic finish flaws – small blemishes, finish runs, sanding marks, color inconsistencies, or imperfections in binding.
This Gibson ES-175T is in very good condition and has been professionally upgraded for excellent playability. Please note: The original humbuckers have been replaced with a set of P-90 pickups (brand unknown; please see photos for details), giving the guitar a unique tonal character. The original knobs have also been swapped for gold top hat knobs. Additionally, the guitar has been refretted with medium jumbos and PLEK'd in our repair shop, ensuring outstanding fretwork and a smooth playing experience.
