Regarding this snare, a friend recently commented that it's "the piccolo snare that launched a thousand and one bands." I dunno if that's true or not but I do know this little monster is deserving of the legend and reputation it's been given. Haven't heard many snares that sound as good tuned up as they do down low. Way low too, if you want. It's crisp, but by no means avg "piccolo" crisp. It's got true, audible heft and it feels really good to play. Furthermore, I can't believe what some are asking for on here for this drum so in defiance, I shall let this go for a good.....bit.....less:). Peace
