Super clean Kenwood KA-5700 with new LED and upgraded speaker terminals. The case was treated with a protective coating. All potentiometers and switches cleaned with Deoxit, all functions tested. There is a small mark on the face, hard to see. It still amazes me how powerful and warm these amps are.

The faceplate was removed, cleaned & polished with Blue Magic. The case was removed & cleaned, dust was blown out from the interior. All knobs and switch covers were removed and cleaned, all potentiometers and switches were cleaned and treated with Deoxit F100L Fader Lube for long term protection. All functions and speaker connections were tested.

SOUND

Kenwood has its own signature sound. It is warm, but still is detailed and layered. Lows are a bit punchy and energetic, but not too overbearing. Mids are excellent, with so much life to them. Highs are nice, not harsh, may be just a tad on the bright side, the sound stage is very accurate as well. Obviously, there are better sounding devices, but for the vintage component of that age the sound is just excellent!

However, too many unprincipled buyers that strip parts and then wanted to return electronics as being defective force me to protect myself from this type of abuse. I will pack well and insure the package during shipping. One recent buyer stated that he thought that his unit could have been dropped from a truck at highway speed and still survived intact. If the shipping cost seems excessive, eBay seems to overestimate shipping costs so I have been offering to refund anything over the actual shipping cost. I tell them the size and weight and they estimate from there.
