Up for grabs is this gorgeous and limited edition 15x8, yes 15x8!, Tama SLP Big Black Steel Snare Drum. There were only 80 of these bad boys produced for the US market and this one's in excellent condition!

Features a 10 lug layout black nickel plated steel shell and hardware, lightly played USA Remo heads, and aftermarket 42 strand 15" wires. There are no missing or broken pieces, no bent tension rods or hoops, the shell is in round, and the bearing edges are in great shape!. The hardware has some light swirl marks as you can see on the picture of the throwoff, but these were very difficult to photograph and are hard to see with the naked eye; for all intents and purposes it's in near mint condition

15" snares are a real underdog; they're fuller, fatter, more open, and more versatile than 14" snares. They have an extended lower and upper tuning range, and produce more volume than a 14" snare. Tuned low you get a deep and powerful tone that's perfect for slower paced songs. The medium range covers most bases with a pleasing throaty tone and crack, and the high tuning is surprisingly open and full sounding, and will give you all the cut and articulation you need with a depth and bottom end not found in 14" snare drums.
