Beautiful Gold Brass Alexander 103 Double Horn

This is one beautiful horn! This Alexander 103 (SN 23226) is in amazing used condition. This is a gold brass, fixed bell horn (spun bell). The lacquer is 99.9% intact, and there are only a few very minor dings in it. The valves (which have mechanical linkage) have perfect compression. The horn has been professionally cleaned and serviced in my shop and is ready to play!

This horn plays with a gorgeous sound. It really projects well, and it has a beautiful ringing, clear tone. The slurs on this horn are amazing, and all the registers pop well. This horn is accurate and easy to play in all registers. What a joy to play this horn! It lets you play music without worrying so much about hitting the notes. I found it played really nicely with a Laskey 775G EU (European shank) mouthpiece, which are pretty easy to get.

This horn comes with its original Alexander case in excellent used condition. No mouthpiece is included. This horn should be played with a European shank mouthpiece for best results.
