1960's Wards Airline 9001B amplifier.
FREE SHIPPING to any USA Address or APO/FPO Military location at the asking price.
One Knob, 3 tubes, and around 3 Watts of crunchy terror. Abandoned mud dauber nest included.
Perfect for gritty blues tone or buzzy harp distortion, much like the mud dauber itself. Video is recorded with the amp at about "3." See photos and video above.
Service:
- A modern isolation transformer has been installed to protect from deadly electric shock. The original amps aren't called "Widowmakers" for nothin'... Originally one side of the plug was attched to the case, so your amp, guitar strings, and you, become "LIVE" if you plugged it in backwards. The isolation transformer prevents that.
- A modern Jensen 6" speaker is installed, but the original speaker is included. That speaker is nonfunctional, and would require re-coning. The Jensen sounds fantastic.
- I re-stuffed the original firecracker filter capacitor with modern electrolytic capacitors. Looks the same, but it has been "re-capped" with new electrolytics.
