This is a beautiful 2005 Bourgeois Country Boy Dreadnought with an Adirondack Spruce top. (Serial #003434). To my knowledge, I am the second owner of this instrument.  I purchased the guitar last year via consignment from a musician who had used this guitar regularly since they purchased it new.

This guitar has standard Bourgeois Country Boy Dreadnought specs from this era, with the exception of the Adirondack top.  I have included below the specs from the serial number look up tool on the Bourgeois website.

The guitar is in very good condition, particularly considering the age and it being a guitar that has been played regularly.   There are some finish swirls on the top, particularly around the pick guard and typical swirls on the back as well.  There are a few light finish scratches and small finish dings that I could not get to show up well in photos.  None of these stand out to me, the guitar looks like it has been played often and well cared for.  The headstock is in very good shape with some minor dings on corners and edges.

I had a local luthier here in Austin perform a set up and add a K&K Pure Mini to the guitar.  He communicated that the guitar was in great shape.

While sound is always subjective, to my ears this guitar is a classic mahogany dreadnought.  It has plenty of volume and projection, nice bass response, a crisp and warm sound, and, as is typical from Bourgeois guitars in my experience, it is very balanced for a dread.

I have owned a few other mahogany dreadnoughts from boutique luthiers, and some Martins, over the years, and this guitar has excellent tone compared to them.

I also find this to be a comfortable dreadnought, with the 1 23/32 nut width and Bourgeois neck are easy on the hand and arm.

The guitar comes with its original hardshell case.

I understand that I am not a volume seller on Reverb.  I do my best to provide accurate descriptions, communicate well and pack and ship as carefully as possible to minimize any risks.  My reviews are evidence of these efforts.

Thank you for your interest. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
