The Gibson L-5 CT is a thin-bodied version of the classic L-5, with a body depth of only 2.5″. The L-5 CT was originally created in the 1950’s as an instrument for comedian George Gobel, a smaller sized man who wanted the looks and class of the L-5 without the big body that would have been uncomfortable to play. Gibson designed the L-5 CT for Gobel, and the rest is history. This 2000 L-5 CT features a faded cherry finish with a beautifully book-matched flame maple back. It’s a stunning example ready to enjoy. It’s truly exceptionally clean & comes in its original brown tolex hard case.
