Really nice vintage Japanese Greco semi-hollow SA-700. It’s a very old Greco 335 from 1977. It has a walnut finish with some very nice maple patterning showing on the front and back. The binding is has yellowed, adding to the vibe. Has a nice streaked rosewood fingerboard with binding and original trapezoid tailpiece. It has a traditional centre block construction with a three-piece maple neck is dead straight with a good strong factory volute, truss rod fine & plenty of life left in the frets. Has a comfortable profile neck carve sitting somewhere between a '59 and '60, nut width 41mm. Structurally and electrically sound. Nothing bad has ever happened to it and it's in remarkably good condition for the late 70's. Has been converted to a hardtail at some point in its history but the work looks professional. It has its original pickguard with it, however the screw by the neck has lost its head and needs to be taken out with pliers so a new pickguard screw can be put in. There have been no neck breaks or repairs. Has a little scuffing and the usual scratches and bumps here & there, with a fine cracking around the binding and oxidisation of the metal hardware etc. All the usual age related stuff, nothing serious at all. Complete with its fantastic sounding original U-2000 Maxon humbuckers. Weight is 4.1kg. Complete with fitted Japanese 335 hardcase. A very cool old Japanese 335 clone. Don’t miss this one!
