no deep scratches, just normal wear. I was going to use it but I sold that guitar. Had one of these in an archtop, and I have a set in an ibanez thinline hollow body and it's really nice for anything you'd want a P90 for and its hum cancelling, no noise. Lightly potted. The ohms rating is not similar to what a two coil humbucker is rated this would be considered underwound for a regular humbucker but it is normal wind for this pickup.
What they do is separate the bass strings on one coil and the treble strings on another coil and use magnet polarity and reverse coil winding to achieve hum cancelling with normal tone. Pretty nice deal.
