What is a sustainer guitar pickup?
A sustainer guitar pickup is a device that allows guitar strings to sound as long as possible, aka extremely long, almost endless sustain. It can be used on all metal-stringed instruments, with unlimited harmonics.
Sustainer pickups can produce long, violin-like sound effects and are also quite interesting when added with effects. An example of a sustainer's use is Steve Vai's song "Whispering A Prayer." Joe Satriani also has a signature series with a sustainer installed. And of course, Syntergates, Avenged Sevenfold.
Sustainers are perfect for solo guitarists because they can help extend notes seemingly endlessly! Sustainer Manufacturers: There are two well-known companies that make sustainers: Fernandes and Sustainiac, and we have a company called Veyz Sustainer that makes sustainers ourselves. They're almost the same product, except the Sustainiac only has one model and two colors, with not much variety.
The Sustainer has two sustain modes: natural and harmonic. There's also a mix mode on the Sustainer.
